National Gov't files lawsuit against City over subway transfer

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s administration filed a lawsuit against the Buenos Aires City government to urge Mayor Mauricio Macri to fulfil the obligations stated at the agreement signed over the transfer of the subway service administration.

The statement was presented before the National Appeals Court and assures that Macri failed to fulfil the administrative and constitutional obligations by rejecting handing over of the subway.

The national government also demands by a precautionary measure that the City “immediately” fulfils its obligations as grantor of the “Buenos Aires City subway and tram public service.”
