Larreta: "CFK corrected Garré's huge mistake'
Buenos Aires City's Cabinet Chief Horacio Rodríguez Larreta today reacted to yesterday's President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner's speech in which she announced Federal Police officers would be sent back to patrol subways for another 30 days.
"She corrected minister Nilda Garré's huge mistake," Larreta said but questionned the president's version about the subways' situation.
"She said 250 police officers were needed to patrol subways but there are 96 stations and not less than two officers per station, in four shifts, so thay are 800 instead of 250," he explained stressing "it's a simple mathematical calculation."
Larreta went further to say "Garré lies to the President" regarding the subway security situation adding "tariffs are the national government's responsibility."
