Mass 4.5 ton marihuana load seized in Capilla del Señor

Some 4.5 tons of marihuana were seized today in a mass control operation in the Buenos Aires province area of Capilla del Señor, officials from the Security Ministry said today.

Operation ‘Centinela’ was carried out along Route 193 at approximately kilometre 28.5 at a countryside ranch.

Security Ministry representative Miguel Robles, the sub-secretary of Complex Crimes and the Fight against Organised Crime, expressed that “it was a great success in the fight against drug trafficking” and added that “the investigation which led us directly to the raid has been in the works for a while and after carrying out a few different anti-drugs proceedings in the area, we were finally led to this particular one.
