Lawmakers postpone Friday's special session over Malvinas
Pro-government and opposition legislators decided to postpone until Saturday the trip to Tierra del Fuego to present the document that will be the base for the “State policy” regarding the sovereignty claim over the Malvinas Islands.
The trip had been scheduled for Friday, but authorities decided to put the encounter off to join the national mourning declared by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner due to the Once tragic train crash.
The document will count with ten points which include the “re-affirmation of the Argentine sovereignty over the islands,” the “defence of natural resources” and the “position against the militarisation” of the territory.
