Zanetti calls Inter's bad spell, urges to focus on CL game
After a loosing streak at the Serie A Calcio, Inter’s eternal captain Javier Adelmar Zanetti has urged his teammates to focus on the first leg of their upcoming Champions League round of 16 tie against Olympique de Marseille.
Internazionale have suffered three successive Serie A defeats, and Zanetti is desperate to get things back on track in Wednesday's game against the Ligue 1 giants.
Zanetti was clear about the team’s present days: “We have to live from day to day because I believe it's the only way we can achieve anything. We've spoken about it among ourselves and with the coach. We all want to turn this situation around and get rid of these negative aspects.”
On the verge of the Champions League encounter, “Pupi” said, “We realise we are going through a bad spell, but we want to stand together and overcome it so we can concentrate on the Champions League match”, and concluded, “We have an important match ahead of us and then we'll get back to fighting in the league where there are quite a few teams jostling for third place, and we hope to be among them.”
