Traffic intense as Carnival weekend begins

Retiro bus terminal was filled to the brim as thousands of people were set to leave the City en route to touristic spots on account of the four-day-long Carnival weekend.

Atlantic coast seaside resorts and the Córdoba hills are the most popular touristic spots for people to enjoy the first four day long weekend of the year that begins on Saturday. Transport companies had to add extra services due to the high demand.

CNRT’s Alejandro Rusconi that “2400 services were expected to leave on Friday and 500 had to be added,” in Retiro bus station.

“On Saturday, there will be 1800 services and a further 100 will be added. Most popular touristic spots include the Atlantic seaside resorts, Buenos Aires province and Córdoba,” he explained.
