CFK praises works at Lago Argentino hydroelectric station
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner gave a televised speech from Calafate in Santa Cruz province for the 135th anniversary of Lago Argentino, and praised the hydro station and power lines works done since 2003 “to supply electricity to the entire nation.”
“The La Barrancosa-Cóndor Cliff hydroelectric station represents a project of social inclusion as it will embrace the whole nation by providing a total of 1,700 megawatts.”
Likewise, the Head of State set a video-conference with Aerolíneas Argentinas airline Director Mariano Recalde to inaugurate the company’s new offices in Calafate.
Furthermore, the President remembered that her late husband and former president Néstor Carlos Kirchner used to consider Calafate as “his place in the world.”
