Yellow alert for high temperatures in BA

Temperatures are expected to hit 32 degrees in Buenos Aires today.

The National Weather Forecasting Service (SMN) issued a 24-hour yellow alert today due to the heat affecting the city of Buenos Aires. Temperatures are to range between lows of 21 degrees and highs of 35 degrees.

Likewise the SMN forecasted highs of 37 degrees for Thursday. Rains are expected for Friday's morning bringing some temporary relief from the heat wave as temperatures will range between 22 and 32 degress.

The yellow alert warns that exposure to high temperatures could be especially dangerous for babies and small children, people over the age of 65, and those suffering from chronic illnesses.

It is recommended during days of extreme heat to follow the Health Ministry’s instructions and to take extra care if going out in the sun.
