Garré fires police officers involved in dead model's photographs leak

Security Ministry Nilda Garré fired the police officers that were involved in the leaking of the photographs of model Jazmin De Grazia’s corpse, which were published in a newspaper on Friday.

The Ministry released a statement saying that Federal Police chief Enrique Capdevila decided to fire those officers who could have been involved of releasing photographic material was confidential.”

“We will severely sanction those officials who failed to comply with their duties and not only violated legal proceedings but the intimacy rights of the deceased young woman and her relatives,” Minister Garré assured.

Meanwhile, Judge Justo Rovira, who handles the case, could rule a gag order. Judicial sources assured that the prosecutor will question police authorities regarding the published photographs, which have not reached the inquiry yet.

The prosecutor wants to determine how the photographs reached the newspaper, facing the suspicion that they could have been sold by police officers

Model and journalist Jazmín De Grazia was found dead in her bathtub in her apartment in the City neighbourhood of Recoleta. She was 27 years old.
