Fluminense beat Arsenal at Libertadores' first match

Brazilian Fluminense players celebrate after scoring against Argentine Arsenal.

Brazil's Fluminense defeated Arsenal de Sarandí 1-0 in the match for the Group 4 of the Libertadores de América Cup 2012, also formed by Boca and Venezuela's Zamora.

Frederico Guedes netted Fluminense's goal only two minutes after the beginning of the first half of the game.

The match was held at the Olímpico Joao Havelange Stadium.

Fluminense: Diego Cavalieri; Bruno, Anderson, Edinho and Carlinhos; Wagner, Diguinho, Deco and Thiago Neves; Rafael Moura and Fred. Coach: Abel Braga.

Arsenal: Cristian Campestrini; Hugo Nervo, Lisandro López, Guillermo Burdisso and Damián Pérez; Adrián González, Iván Marcone, Gastón Esmerado and Nicolás Aguirre; Emilio Zelaya and Córdoba. Coach: Gustavo Alfaro.

Referee: Antonio Arias, Paraguay.

Stadium: Olímpico Joao Havelange.
