Falcioni unveils line-up to make Copa debut
Boca Juniors’ coach Julio César Falcioni decided to line up the probable men that will play next Tuesday in the Copa Libertadores group stage debut against Zamora FC from Venezuela, in this morning's practice. Thus, Uruguayan Santiago Silva saw some action at the centre-attack.Silva’s transfer triggered many controversies as according to FIFA legislation a player cannot play for more than two teams during a same season (Vélez Sarfield, Fiorentina AC, and now Boca Juniors in the case of Silva), but Argentine Football Association Julio Humberto Grondona, who also serves as Senior Vice-President of FIFA, obtained a special permit and ended authorizing Silva to play only the Copa Libertadores de América.
Falcione picked the following XI: Agustín Orión; Facundo Roncaglia, Rolando Schiavi, Juan Manuel Insaurralde, Clemente Rodríguez; Diego Rivero, Leandro Somoza, Walter Erviti; Juan Román Riquelme; Darío Cvitanich, Santiago Silva.
The reserve team lined-up as following: Sebastián Sosa; Franco Sosa, Gastón Sauro, Matías Caruzzo, Juan Sánchez Miño; Pablo Ledesma, Cristian Erbes, Nicolás Colazo, Cristian Chávez; Pablo Mouche, Nicolás Blandi.
Back to the local tournament, Boca’s debut will be this Friday against Olimpo de Bahía Blanca, in the “La Bombonera” stadium. It is said that Caruzzo, Mouche and Blandi will be replacing Schiavi, Cvitanich and Silva.
