Moyano says Gov't officials are 'teacher's pets'
After a month shying away from the public eye and amidst conflicts between truckers and companies based in Chubut, CGT umbrella union leader Hugo Moyano appeared at a rally in Santa Fe and stated that Government officials are the “teacher’s pet.”
The head of the CGT assured during his speech that the government officials “can’t even make a cards’ game grimace without a previous authorization,” and warned that the unions will not accept "absurd hikes" in the wage talks.
“I’m not interested in what the officials say. Those are a teacher’s pet, those who are previously told to do something,” he continued.
The head of the truck drivers assured that "many of the hike percentages given were a disgrace," reffering to the possible 18 percent maximum suggested by the government, and added that "we workers have enough experience so as to know the percentage we need to demand and i'm sure that the salaries will be based in the Indec national statistics bureau data."
Moyano headed the inauguration of a branch of the Fluvial Officials and Patrons Centre for Fishing and Coastal Shipping.
