CFK prepares for return to office tomorrow
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was preparing today for her return to office after Vice-President Amado Boudou was working in her stead during the 20-day period of absence she took while recovering from thyroid surgery. At 12 am tomorrow the Head of State will resume power of the Executive Branch and lead a ceremony at the Government House later in the day.
Tomorrow’s event at the Casa Rosada will take place before governors, legislators, ministers, mayors and Human right’s activists.
The President had been recovering after having surgery on January 4 for thyroid cancer which gave a ‘false positive’ result.
After spending the weekend in Chapadmalal along the coast with her family, Fernández de Kirchner returned to the Olivos residence last night in order to be ready to resume activities on January 25.
