The European Union predicts Europe will endure a moderate recession on the year’s first semester, remarked today EU commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Olli Rehn.

“Many factors make us think in a moderate recession for 2012’s first semester,” Rehn said. He also highlighted though market’s “perception over the Euro zone’s future has slightly improved, they remain negative.”
