Gov't asks businessmen, unions to act 'responsibly' in CFK's absence

Vice-President Amado Boudou.

Vice-President Amado Boudou, who has taken on the role as Acting President in Fernández de Kirchner’s stead, told businessmen and union workers that they should act with “responsibility” in an attempt to achieve equal business transactions so that “the wage hikes will be sustainable over time.”

“Everyone needs to step up to their sector’s responsibilities. This is key for the business sector and also for the worker sectors, in order for growth to be sustained and so that the levels of consumption continue to rise for our population,” Boudou stated.

During a radio interview the government member sustained that the “request” the government is making is to “be able to reach wage agreements and for them to be sustainable over time.”

When asked about the head of the CGT umbrella union boss, Hugo Moyano being “on another frequency” to the National Government, Boudou indicated “I don’t see it that way,” but did not further comment on the relationship.
