Nine injured after roof collapses at David Guetta concert in Mar del Plata
Nine people were mildly injured in the early hours this morning after a wooden roof collapsed in a VIP section of the David Guetta concert taking place on a Mar del Plata beach, Buenos Aires province.
The incident took place during the first part of the famous French DJ’s set, as he performed before thousands of people on Caseta Beach.
Nine people were injured, and were taken to a local hospital to be treated, police officers at the scene informed the press. By mid-morning only one of the victims remained admitted, a 39-year-old man who had lost conciousness when the roof collapsed.
The performance was being held at ‘El Alfar’ beach resort when the roof of the VIP sector furthest away from the stage collapsed causing chaos amongst the punters, police officials said.
Despite the slight rupture in the set, the show continued, extending until the early hours of the morning.
David Guetta, labelled the ‘best DJ in the world’ according to DJ Mag, was closing the South American leg of his international tour at the famous Argentine costal resort.
