Flights to Bariloche cancelled due to return of volcanic ash

Flights that were scheduled to head to San Carlos de Bariloche today were cancelled once more due to the presence of volcanic ashes.

The announcement was made three days after the airlines had resumed their services to the city in Río Negro that had been suspended for six months.

Nevertheless, the volcanic ash cloud spewed by the Puyehue volcano in Chile continued and Aerolíneas Argentinas flights will now go up to Esquel, whilE LAN's will go to Neuquén.

Sources said that the flight from Aerolíneas Argentinas that had to departure at 11:40 was cancelled and the airline will evaluate the climate situation on Tuesday in order to decide whether to resume the service or not.
