Following a chain of child disappearances last year, the search for a missing 13-year-old girl continued today. Rocío Zarlenga was last seen on December 27 in Alejandro Korn town, Buenos Aires Province where she lives with her family.

Rocío Zarlenga went missing two weeks ago in her hometown, located some 40km from Buenos Aires city centre, and was last seen leaving her house on her way to visit a friend. However, according to testimonies from family members, she never arrived to her friend’s house.

The young girl’s parents told the press that local police weren’t being overtly helpful in their collaboration to the search.

Rocío’s parents reported the child missing on the day she disappeared, and the main suspicion so far is that the young girl could have been kidnapped and put into child slavery.

It was reported that due to lack of help by the police, the family reported the disappearance to the Judiciary, and then to various agencies that work in order to help families with their search.
