Clinton calls CFK, says 'relieved' after surgery result
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to communicate her “relief” after the result of the positive result of the surgical intervention she underwent last week due to the presence of nodules in the thyroid glands.
“I’m relieved. I know you, your family and your people must have been very relieved after the surgery,” the US official told the Head of State during a telephone conversation, the Government House reported.
Clinton added “I knew you were facing a difficult situation with your family, your friends, and I was holding my breath, but it’s good news, I’m glad to know you are having a great recovery.”
The President thanked the telephone call and stated that “I know you were concerned and it’s a pleasure to hear your voice. I must thank God and the people.”
