Messi well wishes CFK through letter

Barcelona FC‘s star Lionel Messi and his family sent an emotional letter to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner wishing for "a prompt recovery" after it came to light the leader will undergo thyroid cancer surgery.

Thus, the striker sent “positive vibes to face what we are sure would be a successful treatment, and a healthy recovery surrounded by your dearest ones”, before the surgery scheduled for January 4 (11.30am) at the Austral Hospital located in Western Greater Buenos Aires district of Pilar.  

Furthermore, the letter remarks to be “a message of strength and sincere love to our President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner”,   

The letter was also signed by the Lionel Messi Foundation.

Messi is not the first football star to send a support message to the Head of State. Yesterday, Boca Juniors’ playmaker Juan Román Riquelme declared to be concerned about the President’s health and wished her a well recovery.
