'It's important the Vice-President think the same way as the President,' CFK
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner joked with her Vice-President Amado Boudou today over the period of absence she will take, where which he will be taking the reigns of the Executive Branch. The head of state told the former economy minister to “be careful with what you do,” differentiating him from his predecessor, Julio Cobos.
“It’s so important for the Vice-President to think the same way as the President,” when facing the Executive Branch, stated the head of state. Fernández de Kirchner referred back to 2008 when the Government clashed with the farming sector, making ironic statements about what could have happened then, if Cobos had been put in charge.
Nonetheless, the President requested “solidarity” from Boudou and the rest of the Cabinet while she is on her planned leave of absence, from the date of her operation on January 4 for the period of twenty days. The head of state also indirectly suspended vacation time for Government members.
