Opposition leaders wish CFK 'a speedy recovery'
After learning that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has been diagnosed with cancer, several opposition leaders offered their support and wished her a speedy recovery. President Fernández de Kirchner will undergo surgery on January 4th and will remain inactive until January 24th.
Former presidential candidates, lawmakers and City officials took to Twitter to send their messages of support after the President’s spokesman, Alfredo Scoccimarro, broke the news of her condition on national television.
Former presidential candidates Raúl Alfonsín (URC) and Pino Solanas (Proyecto Sur) wished the President “a speedy recovery” and sent her their regards.
“It is our wish that the President makes a fast recovery,” former FAP presidential candidate Hermes Binner said.
Lawmaker Victoria Donde also whished her well, while City Cabinet Chief Horacio Rodríguez Larreta tweeted: “I just found out about the President. From the bottom of my heart I wish her the best and a speedy recovery.”
City Minister of Environment and Public Space Diego Santilli said that “in this difficult time for the President, we all wish her to get better as soon as possible.”
