US President Barack Obama greets wellwishers December 23, 2011 upon arrival at Hickam Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama was beginning his delayed vacation after Congress passed a 2-month payroll tax extension.
United States President Barack Obama’s approval rating was at a 6-month high, with more votes of approval of his administration by US residents, than those who disapprove, according to an opinion poll published today by Gallup institute.
Out of the total amount of people interviewed, 47% affirmed their trust in the president, against 45% that didn’t, according the institute that interviewed around 1,500 people in total.
The results were tallied after a 3-day poll, from Wednesday to Friday last week, at the time when Obama was beginning to advance in getting the Congress to pass a 2-month payroll tax extension.
