Heyn's autopsy shows no 'signs of violence'

Judge Homero De Costa, who is investigating the death of the Economy Ministry’s Trade under-secretary Iván Heyn, assured that the autopsy of the economist's body did not show "signs of violence."

The report stated "normal results," the judge continued, so the remains of the economist will be given to the family.

Nevertheless, investigators are still trying to identify if it was a suicide or an "accidental death," Da Costa added.

Iván Heyn was found dead in his room of a hotel in Montevideo city.

Argentina’s Embassy in Uruguay assured that the country’s authorities “have initiated the legal procedures that are needed in these cases” in order to repatriate the mortal remains of Heyn.

The communiqué was signed by the Argentine ambassador to Uruguay, Dante Dovena.
