Buenos Aires stocks drop 2.7%

Buenos Aires stocks closed lower, with the Merval benchmark stock index edging down by 2.7 percent, to 2,408.43 points. So far this month, the leading panel of stocks dropped by 6.03 percent.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose 1.2 percent to 930 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
