Catania comfirms Maxi López transfer to AC Milan
Catania general director Pietro Lo Monaco has confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with AC Milan to transfer Argentine centre-forward Maximiliano López to the Serie A champions in the January transfer window.
Italian media reported that Milan and Catania had agreed terms on a six-month loan deal, and Lo Monaco has now revealed that the transfer is ready to be concluded.
Lo Monaco told reporters “We have reached a full agreement with Milan. The only thing that has yet to be decided is when we will finalise the deal.”
It's not yet sure whether AC Milan will only complete the transfer of López if they fail to lure Carlos Tévez away from Manchester City, or if the former River Plate striker will move to San Siro regardless of any other new arrivals.
