CFK pleads for full enactment of Media Law
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner praised all the advances made in the implementation of the Media Law, but once again demanded for its full enactment, by pointing out that the measure “has been taken to court like no other law ever.”
“This measure created a new branch of the law: cautionary justice,” she regretted as she spoke at a rally in celebration of the new assignment of radio licenses to all cities and towns around the country.
“In the end, justice prevails. Ask the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo. The only battle lost, is the one you abandon,” she added.
Many thought the President would use the opportunity to unveil changes in her Cabinet, but she refused to disclose any details, for which political pundits will have to keep guessing.
