CGT to insist on revenue-sharing bill in Congress
The CGT umbrella union decided it will insist on having Congress debate a revenue-sharing bill, even though the initiative has already been rejected by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
The decision was made after a meeting between the CGT board of directors, in which they also agreed to call for an income tax floor increase and making the universal child allowance available to everyone.
After the meeting, in which Hugo Moyano was present, union leader Juan Carlos Schmidt said they were “debating matters that had previously been discussed with the President.”
Regarding next year’s salary negotiations, Schmidt assured that “collective bargaining would resume in March.”
The unionist said that the CGT would insist on making the universal child allowance available to everyone, explaining that workers who make more than $5.800 pesos do not qualify for the financial aid.
