'Collective bargaining shouldn't be demonized,' Tomada says
Labour Minister Carlos Tomada assured that “collective bargaining shouldn’t be questioned or demonized,” adding that it’s a tool for negotiations “that has been working normally for many years.”
Tomada explained that “collective bargaining is a tool for negotiations that has been working normally every year, and has been doing so steadily for the most prolonged period of time in Argentina’s modern history.”
He also said that “it will continue to do so.”
“I just don’t think this is the time to discuss salary hikes or demonize salary discussions. Let’s just let things be, because I don’t think this is a time to mess around and create power struggles in the media around an issue that has always worked perfectly normal,” he explained.
Tomada indicated that “collective bargaining has been acting freely all these years and are a part of our country’s social asset.”
