Real estate investment is 'safe move,' CFK assures

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

While speaking at a conference of the Argentine Construction Chamber (CAC), President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner assured that, amidst a global financial crisis, “real estate investment is one of the safest moves in Argentina.”

The head of state also said it was necessary to create a law that “takes the interests of workers and corporations into consideration in order to avoid a culture of lawsuits in the construction sector.”

“It’s a difficult, complex world. Integration is a way of making sure that whatever happens in other regions of the world doesn’t have a negative impact on us,” she explained.

She concluded by assured that the recent elimination of subsidies on utilities “is not just savings, but a way for the Government to reorient investment.”
