Sherriff investigating French tourists' crime commits suicide

The head of the Investigations Department, Néstor Píccolo, who was investigating the double crime of the French tourists Cassandre Bouvier and Houria Mounmi, committed suicide. He shot himself in the head, the causes remain unknown.

Police sources reported that the sheriff, who was wearing his uniform, went to a piece of land and shot himself dead with his officially-issued firearm.

The police chief was at that time working at the brigade and allegedly left the headquarters, crossed Chile Avenue towards a piece of land located behind the Nuestra Señora de la Consolación church.

Píccolo was known for heading the investigation of the two French tourists’ crime on July 30.
