Buenos Aires stocks edge down

Buenos Aires stocks closed lower, with the Merval benchmark stock index moving down by 2.9 percent, to 2,454 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 2.1% to 931 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
