Flights delayed at Ezeiza Int'l Airport due to union protest
Stranded passengers look at one of the airport''s screens, hoping for their flights to be rescheduled.
Many flights leaving from the Ezeiza International Airport were delayed on Wednesday evening due to a protest by air traffic controllers.
The conflict takes place as new changes within the functions of air traffic controllers operate. Last Monday the Air Force was once again put at the helm of all control operations, which were previously in the hands of the Civil Aviation National Administration since 2007 as ordered by the President Néstor Kirchner.
The Government made the decision to reverse his measure this week due to an ongoing conflict between the Aerolíneas Argentinas airline and the Technical Aeronautical Staff Association (APTA), which forced the company to suspend all international flights last weekend.
