Teacher unions, City Gov't to continue Classification Boards debate next Wednesday

The secretary general of the Education Workers’ Union (UTE), Eduardo López, confirmed that negotiations regarding changes in the teachers’ Classification Board will resume “next Wednesday.”

The unionist addressed the media after leaving the City’s Ministry of Education, where he had been meeting, along with other teachers’ representatives, with authorities from the City Government in the afternoon.

Regarding the debate that is expected to take place in the Legislature floor regarding the Classification Boards, López assured that “we’re either going to win or lose, but it will be decided by a democratic process.”
