Roger Waters Company denies rumours of free BA concert
The City official stated that he met Waters in the US a few days ago and the singer agreed to perform in a live show that would be offered free of charge to the population.
Today, Pop Art Music, responsible for the former Pink Floyd band member tour at Latin America denied rumours of a free concert at the Obelisco City landmark, a city government treat for Buenos Aires public.
“Regarding news and rumors circulating on a possible Roger Waters free concert at Buenos Aires, Pop Art Music and the artist’s management company informs the press and the public that Roger Waters will solely perform at the nine scheduled concerts in Argentina at River Plate Statium. After that he will resume his tour in Brazil,” the communiqué said.
Earlier today Lombardi rectified his dialogue to Waters at a local radio station. “We had an excellent meeting in New York last Thursday and I want to be precise. We are still negotiating his participation at a Opera about the Frecnh Revolution at Teatro Colón,” the official reiterated.
Waters’ show “The Wall Live” is scheduled for March, 2012 in the River Plate stadium, where seven additional shows had to be added due to a high demand for tickets.
