Man killed in Mar del Plata after flat explosion

The 30-year-old man died after being thrown from his apartment window due to the unexplained explosion.
A thirty-year-old man died after an unexplained explosion took place in his apartment, which caused him to fall out of his window from the eighth floor of his flat building. The incident took place along the central Colón Avenue in Mar del Plata, police sources informed.

Officials informed that the victim, identified as Leonardo Beatrice, aged 30, died after falling out of the window from the eight floor of his building, along Colón Avenue at 2700, following an explosion in the flat he was renting.

The man fell onto an internal patio of the building, and the first hypothesis is that the explosion was caused by a gas leak in the man’s flat.

Sources at the scene added that forensic police were working with staff from the respective gas and electric company to try to find the causes of the incident.

Gas and electricity services were cut off in the area and inspections would be made in the other apartments of the building, to ensure that the electric installations and gas pipes are in an adequate condition
