CFK postpones trip to Santa Fe due to ash cloud, flight delays
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was unable to travel to Santa Fe today due to volcanic ash being blown in from the south.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner suspended her trip to Santa Fe on Friday, due to the presence of volcanic ash in the skies of the southern part of the province, presidential spokesperson, Alfredo Scoccimarro announced. Thus, the presidential activities have been rescheduled for next Tuesday at 12 pm.
The President was due to travel today to Santa Fe to visit the General Motors Factory, and to inaugurate the eighth Agro-Industrial PYME Exhibition in place in the area of Las Parejas.
Fernández de Kirchner was due to land at Rosario airport at 11.10 am, to be taken by helicopter afterward to the factory, located along National Route 9 at kilometre 278 in the area of General Alvear.
