‘There’s no way we could have a dollar corralito’
While speaking at the Ambito de Debate TV show, former Central Bank Governor Aldo Pignanelli assured that there is “no way we could face a dollar corralito.” He also said that the best measure the government could take is to show that it has dollars.”
The "corralito" is the word used to describe a lockdown in all bank accounts.
He also explained that the current capital flight affecting Argentina “is not inherent to this country, since Brazil is also dealing with the same problem.”
