Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks edged up today with the Merval benchmark stock index gaining 0.64 percent, to 2,963.62 points.

So far this month, the index has registered 7.9 percent losses and 21 percent losses this year.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 2.2 percent to 830 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
