White House: No sign of ETs
The petition asked Barack Obama´s administration to “acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth.”
In response, the White House denied any contact with Aliens and outer space life forms. “The US government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race.”
Obama’s administration also denied withholding any information from the population. “In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public's eye.”
The White House response satisfies the demands of two petitions, one of which garnered over 12,000 signatures. Although Obama’s administration denied any extraterrestrial encounters, it acknowledged the statistical probability of alien life and didn’t completely rule out its existence.
“Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life likely exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe there is a planet other than ours that is home to life.”
The statement, nonetheless, said the probabilities of human encounter are scarce. “Many have also noted, however, that the odds of us making contact with any of them—especially any intelligent ones—are extremely small, given the distances involved.”
The US government response was signed by White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s Phil Larson.
