Universidad de Chile beat Arsenal in first leg
Universidad de Chile defeated Argentina's Arsenal 2-1 in the match held in Sarandí for the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Sudamericana Cup.
Universidad's Eduardo Vargas opened the score only second before the end of the first half of the game. But Arsenal's Mauro Obolo managed to tie the score only a minute after the second half.
At 35', Universitario's Gustavo Canales netted a penalty kick, giving the victory to his team.
Arsenal achieved the quarter-final after defeating Estudiantes de La Plata and Paraguay’s Olimpia, and along with Vélez Sársfield, is the only Argentine team left in the Cup.
The Chilean team defeated Uruguay’s Fénix and Brazil’s Flamengo, and is living a positive moment with great possibilities of being champions.
