BA province teachers ratify 48-hour strike
Members of the Buenos Aires Teachers’ Union (Udocba) confirmed the strike to be held on Thursday and Friday to claim for a 3,100 pesos minimum wage and the renewal of wage talks, among other measures.
The union leader, Miguel Díaz, assured that “the 48-hour strike will be held because we need to recompose our salaries, and because the conciliation procedure was null.”
Buenos Aires province Labour Ministry ordered on Monday the mandatory conciliation over the conflict. Nevertheless, the union leader said that the union “was not notified about the conciliation.”
