Gov't repudiates presence of British ship in the Southern Atlantic
The government repudiated the presence of a British frigate at the Southern Atlantic after the United Kingdom reported that the HMS Montrose was going to be in the area for six months in order to provide a “presence in the region” and protect “the British interests.”
The Foreign Office renewed its rejection towards this British military presence at the territory and the Argentine maritime area at the Southern Atlantic, in the frame of a new crossfire over the Malvinas Islands.
