US, Argentina sign bilateral space research agreement
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner met with US authorities to sign a bilateral space cooperation agreement that will be developed jointly by NASA and the National Committee for Space Activities (CONAE).
Present in the meeting were Foreign Minister Héctor Timerman, US ambassador to Argentina Vilma Martínez, CONAE head Conrado Varotto and NASA administrator Charles Bolden.
The agreement aims to explore the ultra terrestrial space for peaceful goals in common areas of interest, such as observation and monitoring of the Earth, space sciences and exploration systemsn among others.
