'Such a victory gives us greater responsibilities,' says Boudou
Economic Minister and new vice-president, Amado Boudou, broke his silence over the Kirchnerite victory at the polls this weekend through his account on social network, Twitter. Boudou assured that the 53.96% of the vote gained, implied a “greater amount of responsibility.”
The head of the nation's economy also ratified the course that the Kirchner administration started in 2003.
“Such a victory gives us greater responsibilities and the public has already chosen the path, we will just move down the route that they suggest,” the new vice-president published. Boudou will be replacing Julio Cobos in the presidency of the Senate.
After enjoying an afternoon of barbecue, football, and rock at a weekend home, Boudou went at 6 pm to the Intercontinental Hotel to wait for the close of the elections and the official results. After 9 pm he accompanied the President on stage for her speech. Following the press conference, he went along with Fernández de Kirchner and other ministers to the Plaza de Mayo to celebrate their landslide victory.
