Binner: 'We will lead the opposition'

Progressive Front presidential candidate Hermes Binner stressed the fact that his party “will lead the opposition in Congress,” while addressing followers after official results showed that he ended up in second place after President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

“We won’t be pro-Government, we will lead the opposition from Congress, Binner vowed. We are clearly growing, because we obtained more than one million votes than we did in the Primaries,” the Santa Fe governor said,

“We are convinced that this path can be improved upon. We are a novelty in the Argentine political scenario. We are the second political force in Argentina,” an exultant Binner added.

“We believe in being responsible opposition. We have 10 million impoverished people in Argentina, and 40 percent of workers are unregistered. Those are the things we must change,” Binner added.
