2011 Presidential elections

Sunday, October 23, 2011

'Those who voted for CFK are responsible for what happens next,' Carrió

Civic Coalition presidential candidate Elisa Carrió assured during a press conference that the bloc has had “the worst election in its history” and stated that they no longer “lead the opposition.”

“We had repeated the worst election in our history, along with the primaries. But many lawmakers and senators achieved seats at Congress,” she told the press.

Carrió stated that they are “not feeling bad, we simply don’t lead the opposition anymore.” She added that the opposition will probably be headed by Hermes Binner.

“The democracy indicates that the citizens chose their destiny. Today, the people and the re-elected President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner are the only ones who are responsible for the Nation’s destiny,” she continued.
