Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo stated that today marked ‘the most successful election since the return to democracy,” which he put down to the political reform put in place by the President which “enable a greater democracy”.
Randazzo thanked officials, voting station authorities, party politicians and the army during a press conference following the close of the voting.
“Today, without a doubt demonstrates the most successful election day since the return to democracy,” stated the Interior Minister.
Meanwhile, he confirmed that voting participation was similar to the previous general elections and that of the primary elections in August.
Even though voting closed at 6 pm, there are establishments that had people voting after that time. From 9 pm we will begin to release official data of the ballot results, as we did in the primary elections.
