Rodríguez Saá acknowledges defeat congratulates CFK

Alberto Rodríguez Saá casts his vote in San Luis.

Compromiso Federal party Alberto Rodríguez Sáa acknowledged defeat and congratulated President Fernández de Kirchner for being reelected.

However, he warned that his party came in second place in La Rioja, and San Juan, and also celebrated the victory of his protégé, gubernatorial candidate Claudio Poggi, who was elected governor in his home province of San Luis.

With over 75 percent of the votes tallied, Rodríguez Sáa came in fourth place after obtaining a 7.9 percent of the votes.

As he cast his vote this morning in the city of San Luis, Rodríguez Saá had stated that “to say that the election is defined is to devalue it.”

“People are saying that the election is already defined. I don’t believe it to be so, and what’s more I feel as though they are depreciating it by saying so,” Rodríguez Saá said after voting at Paula Domínguez de Bazán school.
