'Election shows the historic moment the country is in,' Boudou

Boudou said the sentiment of union showed by today’s general elections is representative of the moment the country is in.
Economy Minister and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner running mate, Amado Boudou said the sentiment of union showed by today’s general elections is representative of the moment the country is in.

“This election shows the historic moment the country is in,” Boudou said today as he arrived at the voting station at Universidad Católica, Buenos Aires city.

“I have to remark that today we are voting with tranquilly. I have voted before during turbulent circumstances and today we do it democratically. This is good to the 40 million of Argentines, despite our differences.”

He also reflected on a possible vice presidency. “Personally, it is a striking moment. I am leaving all behind to fulfill this collective project,” he said.

“People expects us to press on despite of differences,” stated the minister as he voted accompanied by his girlfriend, the journalist Agustina Kampfer.

“We have the double responsibility to fulfill the administrative duties and to comply with commitments made to the population,” he concluded.
